Job summary

Boots in the UK is seeking a Trainee Dispenser to join our store-based pharmacy team. You will support the pharmacist, assist in dispensing medicines and delivering patient care while you complete the Dispenser training (NVQ2).

This role is in-store within the UK; remote applications are not considered. Training will be provided, and no prior experience is required. A right to work in the UK is essential.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; full training provided.
• Willingness to complete the Dispenser NVQ2 programme.
• UK right to work required (no sponsorship).

Responsibilities

• Complete training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
• Dispense prescriptions with safe supply of medicines.
• Work with healthcare professionals to deliver pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer questions to the Pharmacist.
• Follow SOPs to ensure safe, legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with new store systems and SOPs.
• Assist patients in managing repeats and medicines to promote adherence.
