Job summary

Boots is hiring a Trainee Dispenser to support pharmacists in-store across the UK. You will train in dispensing prescriptions, assisting patients and learning new systems designed to enhance safety and efficiency.

No prior experience required; full training will be provided. Role is in-store in the UK, with the possibility to develop into Pharmacy Technician or leadership roles over time.

Qualifications

• Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
• Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.
• Experience in community pharmacy is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
• Dispense prescriptions while ensuring safe supply of medicines, labeling and collection.
• Collaborate with store healthcare professionals to deliver pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as needed.
• Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with store innovations and SOPs to improve processes.
• Support patients to manage their prescriptions, repeats and adherence.
