Job summary

Boots is seeking a Trainee Dispenser to join our store team in the UK. You will support the pharmacist and healthcare professionals, dispensing prescriptions and advising patients as you train for the Dispenser NVQ2.

This is an in-store role with full training and progression opportunities, including potential paths to Pharmacy Technician or store leadership. UK right to work is required; remote applications are not considered.

Qualifications

• Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
• Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.
• Experience in community pharmacy is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
• Prescription dispensing while ensuring the safe supply of medicines (ordering, labelling, dispensing, endorsing, collection).
• Work with healthcare professionals in-store to deliver pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
• Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with new innovations in-store and comply with operational processes.
• Support patients to manage their prescriptions and adherence to reduce waste.
