Job summary

Boots UK is seeking a Trainee Dispenser to join our store pharmacy team. You will support the pharmacist in dispensing prescriptions and providing healthcare guidance while completing your NVQ2 training.

This in-store role involves listening to patients, advising on medicines, and ensuring safe, compliant dispensing. No prior experience is required as full training is provided, and UK right-to-work is essential.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required.
• Current UK right to work; not sponsor-ready for Skilled Worker Visa.

Responsibilities

• Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
• Prescription dispensing while ensuring safe supply of medicines (ordering, labelling, endorsing).
• Work with healthcare professionals to deliver pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist.
• Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with store innovations and comply with processes.
• Support patients to manage their prescriptions and repeats to promote adherence.
