Job summary

Boots in the UK is seeking a Trainee Dispenser to support the pharmacy team while training for NVQ2. No prior experience required and full training will be provided. You will greet customers, dispense prescriptions, and advise on medicines under supervision, progressing toward qualification and career development.

Based in-store across UK locations, this role focuses on patient care, safety, and excellent service, with Boots’ comprehensive benefits and training opportunities.

Qualifications

No previous experience required.
Training provided to complete the Dispenser NVQ2 programme.
Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.

Responsibilities

Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
Prescribe/dispense medicines ensuring safe supply (ordering, labeling, dispensing, endorsing, collection).
Work with healthcare professionals to manage and deliver pharmacy services.
Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
Keep up to date with new innovations in store and comply with processes.
Support patients to manage prescriptions, repeats and medicines to promote adherence and reduce waste.
