Job summary

Boots Group is hiring a Trainee Dispenser to join our in-store pharmacy team in the UK. You will support the pharmacist, dispense prescriptions, and provide patient advice as you complete your NVQ2 training. This is a full training role with excellent learning opportunities in a busy, customer-facing environment.

The position prioritises patient safety, adherence, and collaboration with healthcare professionals, with progression into more advanced roles as you gain experience.

Qualifications

• Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
• Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.
• Experience in community pharmacy is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
• Prescription dispensing whilst ensuring the safe supply of medicines (ordering, labelling, dispensing, endorsing and collection).
• Work with other healthcare professionals to assist in delivering pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
• Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Stay updated with new store innovations and adhere to operational processes.
• Help patients manage their prescriptions and ensure adherence to reduce waste.
