Job summary
Boots Group in the UK is seeking a Trainee Dispenser to support the pharmacist and healthcare team in-store while completing NVQ2 Dispenser training.
You will greet customers, dispense prescriptions, provide medicine advice and help manage patient health and wellness. Full training is provided; UK right to work is required; career development includes possible training as Pharmacy Technician or leadership roles.
Qualifications
- Full training provided; no previous experience required.
- Eligibility to work in the UK is required; sponsorship not offered.
- Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
- Experience in community pharmacy is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
- Prescription dispensing whilst ensuring the safe supply of medicines; ordering, labelling, endorsing and collection.
- Work with other healthcare professionals to deliver pharmacy services.
- Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
- Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
- Keep up to date with new store innovations and comply with processes.
- Support patients to manage their prescriptions and adherence to medicines.
