Job summary

Boots UK is seeking a Trainee Dispenser to join a store-based pharmacy team across the UK. You will support the pharmacist and healthcare professionals, progress through the Dispenser NVQ2 programme, and dispense prescriptions while maintaining patient safety and providing advice on medicines.

No prior experience required as full training is provided; UK right to work is required. This in-store role focuses on patient care and safe dispensing within store SOPs.

Qualifications

• Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
• Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.

Responsibilities

• Complete training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
• Prescription dispensing while ensuring safe supply of medicines; ordering, labelling, dispensing, endorsing and collection of prescriptions.
• Work with healthcare professionals to assist in management and delivery of pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
• Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with new innovations in store and comply with operational processes.
• Support patients to manage their prescriptions and medicines with reliable repeats to promote adherence and reduce waste.
