Job summary

Boots Group in the UK is seeking a Trainee Dispenser to join our store pharmacy team. You will support the pharmacist, dispense prescriptions, greet customers and help ensure the safe sale of medicines while training toward NVQ2.

No previous experience required; full training provided. You will gain experience with dispensing processes, patient advice, and collaboration with healthcare professionals, with potential progression to Pharmacy Technician or leadership roles.

Qualifications

Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2)
Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.

Responsibilities

Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme
Prescription dispensing whilst ensuring the safe supply of medicines (ordering, labeling, dispensing, endorsing and collection)
Work with other healthcare professionals in-store to assist in the delivery of pharmacy services
Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate
Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions
Keep up to date with new innovations and comply with operational processes
Support patients to manage their prescriptions with reliable repeats and promote adherence
