Job summary

Boots UK is seeking a Pharmacy Dispenser to support the in-store pharmacy team with dispensing prescriptions and providing patient advice in a busy retail environment.

You will work under supervision to ensure safe medicine supply and collaborate with pharmacists and other health professionals. The role includes training opportunities and progression to roles like Pharmacy Technician, with UK-wide qualifications and right to work required.

Qualifications

• Completed the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 (or currently working towards and have completed the first year of an MPharm qualification).
• Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.
• Experience working in community pharmacy is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prescription dispensing while ensuring safe supply of medicines.
• Work with store healthcare professionals to deliver pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist.
• Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with store innovations and comply with processes.
• Help patients manage repeats and medicines to promote adherence.
