Job summary

Boots is recruiting a Dispenser to join our in-store pharmacy team in the UK. You will support the Pharmacist and healthcare professionals, dispensing prescriptions and delivering patient care while ensuring safety and compliance with SOPs.

In this role you will engage with patients, provide medicines information and assist with the integration of evolving store technologies to improve service delivery and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Completed the Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 (or equivalent) or are currently working towards and have completed the first year of an MPharm qualification.
• Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.

Responsibilities

• Prescription dispensing while ensuring the safe supply of medicines (ordering medicines, labelling, dispensing, endorsing, collection).
• Work with healthcare professionals to manage and deliver pharmacy services in store.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with new store innovations and comply with operational processes.
• Support patients to manage their prescriptions and repeats to promote adherence and reduce waste.
