Job summary

Boots is hiring a Trainee Dispenser to join our store pharmacy team in the UK. You will support the Pharmacist and healthcare professionals, learning to dispense prescriptions and advise patients while completing your NVQ2 Dispenser training.

This in-store role offers full training, a structured progression path, and the possibility to pursue Pharmacy Technician training or store leadership opportunities. Remote applications are not considered.

Qualifications

• Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
• Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.
• Experience in community pharmacy is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
• Prescription dispensing while ensuring the safe supply of medicines (ordering, labelling, dispensing, endorsing, collection).
• Work with other healthcare professionals to deliver pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
• Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with new store innovations and comply with processes.
• Help patients manage prescriptions and repeats to promote adherence and reduce waste.
