Job summary
Boots UK is seeking a Trainee Dispenser to join our store-based pharmacy team in the UK. You will support pharmacists and healthcare professionals while you complete your Dispenser training (NVQ2). The role focuses on greeting customers, dispensing prescriptions, and advising patients on medicines to promote health and wellness.
No previous experience is required as full training is provided. A UK right to work is needed, and the position is based in-store with in-person duties only.
Qualifications
- Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
- Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.
- Experience in community pharmacy is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
- Prescription dispensing while ensuring safe supply of medicines and proper labeling.
- Work with store healthcare professionals to deliver pharmacy services.
- Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to Pharmacist as appropriate.
- Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
- Keep up to date with new innovations in store and comply with processes.
- Support patients to manage prescriptions with repeats and adherence.
