Job description

Pharmacy Central Operations Team – Team Leader (Pharmacy Technician)

About the role

At Lindsay & Gilmour, we are dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare services to our community. Our teams work collaboratively with each other and with other healthcare providers, to ensure the highest standards of patient care.

We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and forward-thinking Pharmacy Technician to join our newly established Pharmacy Central Operations Team as a Team Leader. This role is primarily based in a designated pharmacy but will require travel across the group to lead a team providing operational support.

Reporting directly to the Superintendent Pharmacist, you will work collaboratively with field and pharmacy teams to help ensure seamless pharmacy operations during periods of increased demand, or transition. Your role will be instrumental in maintaining high standards of patient care, safety, and service continuity.

This is a unique opportunity to build and develop a new team within the business and make a meaningful impact across our network of pharmacies, offering both leadership responsibility and variety in daily work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example, supporting and guiding pharmacy teams to deliver consistent and high-quality services upholding professional and company standards.
  • Provide proactive, hands-on support to pharmacies during times of change or increased operational demand.
  • Maintain safe, accurate, and efficient dispensing and supply of medicines in accordance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to team development, process improvement, and the implementation of best practices across the network.
  • Foster a positive, solution-focused approach within the teams you support.

What we’re looking for:

  • GPhC Registered Pharmacy Technician.
  • Minimum 3 years’ pharmacy experience, ideally in a community environment.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Commitment to patient safety and high-quality service delivery.
  • A flexible approach with the ability to adapt quickly to new environments and challenges.
  • Reliability and a willingness to travel as needed across the pharmacy group.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated technician to step into a leadership role that offers variety, impact, and the chance to support colleagues across a wider network
