Job summary

NHS Lanarkshire is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Technician to assist in the dispensary and ward stock management. You will receive prescriptions, dispense patient prescriptions, and handle pharmaceutical products to ensure safe storage and distribution.

Qualifications

• SVQ Pharmacy Services Level II or equivalent experience.
• Able to work within Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Commitment to CPD; self motivation; ability to work unsupervised.
• Able to plan, prioritise and organise workload and to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Receive prescriptions and orders at pharmacy from nurses, patients or portering staff.
• Dispense in-patient, outpatient and discharge prescriptions including cytotoxics and controlled drugs.
• Receive and distribute pharmaceutical products from wholesalers and other hospitals.
• Receive / check medical gases and ensure storage.
