Job summary

NHS Grampian in Aberdeen is seeking a ward technician to support clinical pharmacists within the pharmacy service. You will assess and check patients' own supply, place orders, and manage discharge prescriptions, ensuring accurate supply and smooth workflow.

You will work closely with the pharmacist and may be required to train and supervise less experienced technicians and assistants, contributing to a high standard of pharmaceutical care across the ward.

Qualifications

• Applications are invited from registered technicians with suitable relevant experience.
• An accuracy checking technician (ACT) qualification is required and if not already held, must be undertaken.

Responsibilities

• Assess and check patients' own supply, order and deal with any queries of supply, assist in the organisation of prescriptions and supply for discharge.
• Work closely with the pharmacist and train/supervise less experienced technicians and assistants.
