Job summary

Circle Health Group in Glasgow is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to join the Ross Hall Hospital team. This full-time role covers 37.5 hours per week with a flexible shift pattern, and carries a salary of £24,947 per year.

You will assist in preparation and labelling of medicines, support safe supply and stock management, and help with records and data entry. The position requires good communication, teamwork, and attention to detail in a busy clinical pharmacy setting.

Qualifications

Good general education including literacy and numeracy.
Experience in a customer service, healthcare, or stock-handling role is desirable.
Strong communication and organisational skills are essential.
Attention to detail and commitment to safe working practices are required.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and under supervision.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and labelling of medicines for inpatients, outpatients, and discharge prescriptions under supervision.
Support the safe supply of medicines, ensuring accurate picking, packing, and distribution to wards.
Monitor stock levels and expiry dates, helping maintain accurate inventory across the pharmacy and clinical areas.
Assist with the completion of relevant records, prescription tracking, and data entry on pharmacy systems.
Respond to basic enquiries from patients, nursing staff, or other colleagues in a professional manner.
Adhere to health, safety, infection prevention, and medicines management protocols.
