Job summary

Circle Health Group's Chelsfield Park Hospital is hiring a Pharmacy Assistant to join the Pharmacy team on a 15-hour-per-week, permanent basis. The role supports dispensing, stock control, and patient enquiry handling under supervision in a busy hospital setting.

The successful candidate will have customer service experience, good communication skills, and a careful approach to medicines management. Salary is up to £27,000 FTE per year, with benefits and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Good general education including literacy and numeracy skills.
• Experience in a customer service, healthcare, or stock-handling role.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safe working practices.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and labelling of medicines for inpatients, outpatients, and discharge prescriptions under appropriate supervision.
• Support the safe supply of medicines, ensuring accurate picking, packing, and distribution to wards and departments.
• Monitor stock levels and expiry dates, helping maintain accurate inventory across the pharmacy and clinical areas.
• Assist with the completion of relevant records, prescription tracking, and data entry on pharmacy systems.
• Respond to basic enquiries from patients, nursing staff, or other colleagues in a professional and helpful manner.
• Adhere to all health and safety, infection prevention, and medicines management protocols.
