Job summary

Circle Health Group’s Ross Hall Hospital in Glasgow is inviting applications for a Pharmacy Assistant. This full-time role (37.5 hours per week) involves assisting with medicines preparation, stocking, and patient enquires, with a flexible shift pattern and a competitive salary of £24,947 per year.

You will support safe medicines supply, maintain stock, and complete records while working within the pharmacy team and hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Good general education including literacy and numeracy skills.
• Experience in a customer service, healthcare, or stock-handling role.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safe working practices.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and labelling of medicines for inpatients, outpatients, and discharge prescriptions under appropriate supervision.
• Support the safe supply of medicines, ensuring accurate picking, packing, and distribution to wards and departments.
• Monitor stock levels and expiry dates, helping maintain accurate inventory across the pharmacy and clinical areas.
• Assist with the completion of relevant records, prescription tracking, and data entry on pharmacy systems.
• Respond to basic enquiries from patients, nursing staff, or other colleagues in a professional and helpful manner.
• Adhere to all health and safety, infection prevention, and medicines management protocols.

Pharmacy Assistant Ross Hall Hospital 37.5 Hours & Permanent Salary: £24,947.00 per year

Ross Hall Hospital in Glasgow is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country. We have an opportunity for an Pharmacy Assistant to join their team of staff in the Pharmacy department. This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:

• Assist in the preparation and labelling of medicines for inpatients, outpatients, and discharge prescriptions under appropriate supervision.
