Job summary

Responsibilities

• Monitor stock levels and expiry dates, maintaining inventory across pharmacy and clinical areas.
• Assist with completion of records, prescription tracking and data entry on pharmacy systems.
• Respond to basic enquiries from patients, nursing staff or colleagues in a professional manner.
• Adhere to health and safety, infection prevention and medicines management protocols.

Salary: Up to £13.00 per hour (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for a Pharmacy Assistant to join their team of staff in thePharmacy department.

This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

Duties of this role include:

• Assist in the preparation and labelling of medicines for inpatients, outpatients, and discharge prescriptions under appropriate supervision.
• Support the safe supply of medicines, ensuring accurate picking, packing, and distribution to wards and departments.
• Monitor stock levels and expiry dates, helping maintain accurate inventory across the pharmacy and clinical areas.
• Assist with the completion of relevant records, prescription tracking, and data entry on pharmacy systems.
• Respond to basic enquiries from patients, nursing staff, or other colleagues in a professional and helpful manner.
• Adhere to all health and safety, infection prevention, and medicines management protocols.
