Job summary

Southyorkshireapprenticeships is offering a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice role in a busy community pharmacy setting. Earn while you learn with a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship, supported with full training.

You will assist customers, support prescriptions under supervision, and handle stock and records as part of a dedicated team. This 15-month programme blends on-site work with blended learning and aims to build a solid foundation for a career in pharmacy.

Qualifications

• No prior pharmacy experience required; full training is provided.
• Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship will be studied alongside role.
• Good communication and customer service skills are essential.
• Reliable, punctual and professional attitude is expected.
• Basic IT skills are required.

S11 8HN - We are looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands‑on experience in a healthcare environment while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.

About the role:

As a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice, you will support the day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy, helping customers and working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient service.

You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside your role, with full training and support provided.

• Supporting customers at the medicines counter and responding to queries
• Assisting with the preparation and supply of prescriptions (under supervision)
• Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining accurate records
• Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality
• Working as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service
