Job summary

University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is seeking a motivated Pharmacy Administrator to join the TrustMed Pharmacy team. Based at Glenfield Hospital or Leicester General Hospital, the role supports the dispensing team and delivers high-quality pharmacy services across sites.

The successful candidate will communicate with patients and staff, handle prescriptions, and perform a range of admin, stock, and audit tasks to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Qualifications

• Experience handling prescriptions and supporting dispensing teams.
• Strong communication with patients, carers and staff.
• Ability to work across multiple TrustMed sites.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients, representatives and staff by telephone and electronically to arrange prescription collections.
• Receive prescriptions and gather necessary information to enable the dispensing team to safely prepare medicines.
• Liaise with pharmacy team, customers and patients to resolve queries and maintain high service standards.
• Demonstrate a caring, professional, and compassionate approach.
• Support day-to-day operational tasks, stock management and deliveries.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming pharmacy environment and information displays.
• Assist with administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and audits.
• Support audits, data collection, quality improvement, and training of new team members.
