Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a PGCE Tutor to support children and young people across West Sussex with personalised 1:1 tuition. Working on behalf of Local Authorities, you will deliver tailored lessons to learners from primary through post-16, helping build confidence and engagement in learning.

Flexible Tutoring Opportunities Across West Sussex

We're looking for PGCE-qualified Tutors to support children and young people across West Sussex through personalised 1:1 tuition.

Working on behalf of Local Authorities, you'll provide tailored educational support to learners who require alternative provision. Students may range from primary age through to post-16 and often benefit from a personalised approach that helps build confidence, strengthen academic skills, and improve engagement with learning.

Whether your background is in primary, secondary, core subjects, or a specialist subject area, we'd love to hear from you.

We're particularly interested in tutors based in or able to support learners in:

• Crawley
• Worthing
• Horsham
• Chichester
• Bognor Regis
• Littlehampton

Requirements

• PGCE qualification
• Minimum 2 years' experience in an educational setting
• Experience in teaching, tutoring, mentoring, learning support, teaching assistance, or similar educational roles
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons
• Experience supporting learners with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Patient, adaptable, and professional approach
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
• Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel locally within West Sussex
