Job summary

Blue Cross in Sheffield is seeking a Pet Welfare Assistant for off-site services to join our Rehoming & Fostering team. You will manage a defined number of pet cases in foster or Home Direct care, ensuring welfare standards and rehabilitation plans are followed.

This is a permanent, part-time role, 18.75 hours per week on a two-week rota, with opportunities to combine with Adoptions Coordinator vacancy for a full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience of having previously worked or volunteered with domestic animals or in an animal welfare environment.
• Experience recording information and communicating clearly.
• Customer-focused background with high satisfaction standards.
• Good organisational and administration skills including computerised systems.
• Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage a defined number of pet cases in offsite care and rehabilitation.
• Ensure welfare standards are met and rehabilitation plans followed.
• Assess pets preparing for new home and expedite processes.
• Provide excellent customer service to fosterers, clients, and stakeholders.
