Davies is recruiting a Pet Claims Handler to join our Niche Claims team in the Preston office. The role involves assisting policyholders with queries and assessing insurance claims for cats and dogs, with full training provided.

You will need strong administration and telephone skills, a professional attitude, and great attention to detail. Prior pet claims experience is beneficial but not required, and you will work with colleagues across the country.

Qualifications

• Excellent Customer Service and communication skills are required for this role.
• Understanding and reassuring telephone manner.
• Professional attitude and appearance.
• Computer literate with strong keyboard skills.
• Previous pet claims experience is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Communicate professionally with customers, insurers and colleagues nationwide.
• Draft professional letters and written correspondence.
• Ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
• Review data to set up new claims and update them in internal systems.
• Review policy wordings to determine claim coverage.
• Follow standard claims procedures to assess claim validity.
• Ensure accuracy of information recorded in the database.
• Provide high quality assistance during telephone calls and correspondence.
• Adapt to changing department and company requirements.
