PDSA Penarth is seeking an Assistant Charity Shop Manager to support day-to-day shop operations in a busy, customer-focused environment. You will work with volunteers to maximise profit, maintain a welcoming store presentation, and champion the charity in the local community.

The role requires energy, organisational skills and a passion for pets. You’ll support the Shop Manager across seven days, with a flexible approach to hours.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail with a track record of hitting sales targets.
• Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.
• Experience coaching and motivating volunteers is beneficial.

Responsabilités

• Assist the Shop Manager in day-to-day shop operations at Penarth PDSA.
• Ensure friendly, welcoming customer service and well-presented stock.
• Maintain stock rotation and merchandising to maximise sales and donations.
• Engage with the local community to raise awareness and fundraising opportunities.
• Support a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork among staff and volunteers.
