Job summary

Woodgreen Pets Charity in Kempston is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager for 16 hours a week, with Monday 12:15–5:15 and Friday 10:15–5:15.

You will support the Shop Manager, ensure high shop presentation, stock, cash handling, and volunteer development, and represent Woodgreen to the local community. Salary is £11,190.40 pro rata per year, with benefits including annual leave, pension, healthcare support, Headspace, life assurance, and staff discounts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain continual high standards of shop presentation, back of house operations and customer service.
• Present and maintain the highest standards of shop and window merchandising and visual layout.
• Recruit, train, motivate, manage and support the creation and development of a loyal and engaged team of volunteers.
• Ensure maximum stock availability through the processing of donation received in the shop.
• Be responsible for compliance, record keeping and cash handling.
• Be a brand ambassador for Woodgreen to work with the local community to raise awareness and engagement for our cause.
