Blue Cross in Sheffield is seeking an Adoptions Coordinator to ensure timely, compassionate matching of pets to new homes. You’ll support the Rehoming & Fostering team, coordinate with welfare staff, and manage post-adoption care to ensure successful outcomes.

The role requires excellent communication, empathy, and the ability to navigate an emotionally charged environment while maintaining high attention to detail and robust record-keeping.

Qualifications

• Understanding of matching pets to homes and welfare considerations.
• Experience in pet welfare or related charitable environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for clients and colleagues.
• Ability to record information accurately and manage relationships.
• Must hold a current full driving licence.

Responsabilités

• Ensure the adoption process is thorough, efficient, and compliant with guidelines.
• Match assessed pets to new homes quickly with the team.
• Work with Pet Welfare Assistants and other coordinators across the network.
• Manage the pool of homes and provide post-adoption support when required.
• Collaborate on rota-based scheduling including weekends and holidays.
