Job summary

Southwark Council is seeking a motivated Work and Health Coach to support residents in overcoming health-related employment barriers. You will manage a caseload, provide personalised coaching, and connect clients to health, wellbeing and employment services across the borough.

Qualifications

• Experience of one-to-one support or coaching.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload and maintain confidential records.
• Proficiency with MS Office and web-based databases or CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Coach and empower participants through personalised one-to-one support to overcome health-related barriers and employment goals.
• Create tailored action plans and provide practical career support including job searching, CVs, and interview prep.
• Connect participants to health, wellbeing, employment and training services for joined-up support.
• Build strong employer relationships to help participants secure or retain employment and identify practical workplace solutions.
• Manage your caseload while maintaining accurate, confidential records and monitoring progress against outcomes.
• Help shape and improve the service by contributing to programme reporting and gathering feedback.
