Job summary

QED Legal LLP in Newcastle is seeking an experienced Solicitor Team Leader to oversee a Contested RTA & Personal Injury team while remaining hands-on with litigation work.

The role combines technical legal oversight with people management, supervising fee earners, and authorising key litigation decisions to meet financial and performance objectives. Experience with RTA and PI litigation is essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor with RTA/Personal Injury experience.
• Experience supervising or mentoring a team.
• Strong understanding of Civil Procedure Rules and Practice Directions.
• Experience with Part 7 and Part 8 proceedings.
• Ability to balance technical oversight with people management.

Responsibilities

• Supervise fee earners and authorise key elements of litigation.
• Provide development and guidance to fee earners.
• Help the team achieve financial and performance targets.
• Liaise with other solicitors, Team Leaders and senior management.
• Develop and motivate the wider team.
