Job summary

QED Legal in Newcastle seeks an experienced Solicitor Team Leader for its Contested RTA & Personal Injury practice. You will balance technical legal oversight with people management, supervising fee earners and authorising key litigation steps.

The role focuses on RTA-related contested work, with responsibility for delivering against financial and performance targets while developing the team and maintaining strong client service.

Qualifications

Must be a qualified Solicitor with solid RTA / Personal Injury litigation experience.
Experience supervising, mentoring or leading people within a commercial environment.
Comfortable with the commercial side of a high-volume litigation environment and client service.

Responsibilities

Day-to-day supervision of team members.
Support Principal Solicitor with implementation of litigation strategy.
Monitor individual and team performance.
Identify development needs and provide guidance.
Support fee earners in achieving financial and operational targets.
Liaise with other solicitors, Team Leaders and senior management.
Provide technical oversight and authority on litigation decisions.
Help develop and motivate the wider team.
