Job summary

QED Legal in the North East is seeking an experienced Solicitor Team Leader to head its contested litigation department within claimant PI work (serious injury, RTA, EL/PL). The role blends leadership with hands-on casework across a broad claimant PI background, not just pure fee earning.

You will run regular one-to-ones, review performance and KPIs, mentor the team, contribute to department strategy, and have access to a genuine bonus element as part of the package.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a PI or contested litigation practice.
• Proven ability to mentor junior lawyers and set KPI-driven goals.
• Strong background in Serious Injury, RTA, EL/PL and dishonesty issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Solicitor/fee-earner team within the contested litigation department.
• Hold regular one-to-ones, review performance and KPIs, identify training needs.
• Contribute to the direction of the team and collaborate with senior colleagues across Personal Injury.
