Atha & Co Solicitors is a 3 partner firm specialising in Employment, Medical Negligence, Public Liability and high value Road Traffic Accident claims. That is what we do and all we do.

We have a substantial local brand, prefer to see our clients face to face, not to work from home and take pride in providing a traditional personal service to people involved in an accident or medical mishap, that was not their fault.

Due to retirement in the next 12 months, we are looking to recruit an experienced Personal Injury Solicitor. There is a significant opportunity for the right candidate to move up from being a fee earner / assistant Solicitor to partnership level, after an appropriate period.

The Role

1. To undertake all aspects of running a personal injury claim, outside of the various MOJ Portals, from taking initial instructions to concluding to trial, in both the Fast and Multi track.
2. To undertake all aspects of running a personal injury claim within the various MOJ portals from completing the CNF to negotiating settlement at Stage 2 or Stage 3, as appropriate.
3. To support an existing Partner in conducting Medical Negligence claims from taking initial instructions to concluding at Trial.

What we are looking for

1. An experienced Personal Injury Solicitor/Fee Earner with drive and ambition to ultimately replace a retiring partner within the next 12 months.
2. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in managing a significant case load of Personal Injury claims, both inside and outside of the MOJ Portal, Fast track and Multi track, all the way to concluding at Trial.
3. A person who has a track record of managing a varied case load, who is able to work efficiently, with an absolute focus on achieving the best possible settlement for every client, as efficiently as possible, whilst maximising the costs recovered.
4. A person with a committed and focused business acumen with a proactive approach to business development opportunities and the commercial risk involved.
5. A person with excellent communication skills, a sense of humour, a drive to succeed and an ability to change and adapt where necessary.

Salary Package

The successful candidate will expect, and receive, a starting salary of up to £60,000 depending upon ability and experience, with an opportunity and incentives to earn significantly more, depending upon results over a 6 to 12 month period.
