Job summary

Prospero Teaching are seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant (SEN TA with personal care) to join a classroom in Romford, Havering. This full-time role runs 8:30am-4pm, Monday to Friday, during term time.

You will support pupils with SEN under the guidance of the teacher, assist with personal care when required, and help maintain a safe, positive learning environment. UK SEN experience and safeguarding training completed in the last year are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year classroom SEN experience in the UK.
• Up to date safeguarding training issued in the last year.

Responsibilities

• Support SEN students in the classroom.

• Minimum rate of pay - Minimum rate £100 per day
• Hours - 8:30 am - 4pm : Mon - Fri (term time only)

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 1 year classroom SEN experience in the UK
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years

The successful candidate will be required to register and have passed all safeguarding/vetting checks with Prospero Teaching in order to fill this vacancy. Any adult working with children and vulnerable young people are responsible for safeguarding and protecting the welfare of the children and young people.
