Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a Teaching Assistant (SEN TA with personal care) in Tottenham, North London. This is a contract, full-time role starting ASAP and ongoing until July 2027, with hours 8:30 am–4:00 pm, Monday to Friday, term-time only.

The successful candidate will support pupils with SEN in the classroom and must have at least 1 year UK SEN experience, safeguarding training within the last year, and valid Right to Work in the UK with DBS references as required by Prospero Teaching.

Qualifications

• UK SEN classroom experience of at least 1 year.
• Safeguarding training completed within the last year.
• Right to Work in the UK must be held or willingness to obtain DBS and references as required by Prospero Teaching.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 1 year classroom SEN experience in the UK

Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years

The successful candidate will be required to register and have passed all safeguarding/vetting checks with Prospero Teaching in order to fill this vacancy.

Any adult working with children and vulnerable young people are responsible for safeguarding and protecting the welfare of the children and young people.
