Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant (SEN) to support pupils with special educational needs in a Romford classroom. This role includes personal care responsibilities and requires a calm, patient approach to help students engage with activities.

The position is full-time, contracted through to the end of the academic year (July 2027), starting January 2027. Applicants should have UK SEN classroom experience and safeguarding training within the last year.

Responsibilities

• Assist in classroom with SEN students and personal care as required.

• Minimum rate of pay - Minimum rate 100 per day
• Hours - 8:30 am - 4pm : Mon - Fri (term time only)

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 1 year classroom SEN experience in the UK
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
