Person SpecificationI am looking for someone reliable, energetic, outgoing with a good sense of humour to join my friendly team of PAs supporting me in living independently.
Some experience of providing care is preferred but not essential. If you have good work ethics and are committed to providing the best care possible with a genuine interest, I would like to hear from you.
The role involves assistance with all aspects of daily life, including personal care, domestic tasks, and activities such as keep fit, wheelchair rugby, cycling, swimming, art projects, gardening, woodworking, crafts, socialising, occasional nights out, and trips away.
Regardless of experience, you must be willing to learn under my guidance and follow advice from experienced PAs. As you progress, you will be expected to work using your own initiative.

About MeI have a C5/6 spinal cord injury (broken neck), resulting in complete paralysis below the shoulders and partial paralysis of both arms, with no hand or finger dexterity, and I am wheelchair-bound. I need assistance with personal care and domestic chores.
I am active, enjoy life, have a good sense of humour, and strive for independence despite my paralysis. I currently have three PAs supporting me, and I am looking to add a new member to my team.
TrainingDuring induction/shadow shifts, you will be guided through the tasks listed in the job description.
Times RequiredShifts typically start at 18:00 and finish at 11:00 the following day.
You will be expected to cover holiday leave and absences equally, with additional cover needed between June and August for annual leave.
The initial vacancy involves one shift per week plus training.
