Job Role: Support Worker/Healthcare Assistant

The Support Worker / Healthcare Assistant will be expected to help and assist the team with day-to-day routines including personal care and feeding.

The Healthcare Assistants / Support Worker must have at least 6 months experience in care and be compassionate.

Healthcare Assistants / Support Worker will help with the day-to-day care of patients, either in homes, hospitals, or in patients' own homes.

They are vital members of teams in hospitals, homes, and clinics.

Previous experience and/or qualifications in care are essential.

As a Healthcare Assistant and Support Worker, you would work under the supervision of nursing staff alongside other Healthcare Assistants.

Your duties could include:

• Helping patients with washing, showering, or dressing
• Serving food or helping people eat
• Making and changing beds
• Turning patients confined to bed to prevent pressure sores
• Talking to patients to reduce anxiety
• Helping patients move if difficult
• Assisting with bedpans and toileting
• Keeping the ward or patient’s home tidy
• Maintaining supplies and equipment

Daily tasks may include using mobility aids and escorting patients between departments. With experience, you may participate in training new healthcare assistants.

We also supply staff to NHS and private sectors, including roles such as Nurse, General Nurse, RGN, NMC, Nurse Band 5/6, HCA, Community Nurse, and Specialist Nurses in A&E, Endoscopy, and Theatre.
