Job summary

Disability North is seeking a Male Personal Care Assistant to support a neurodivergent, non-verbal young man. Shifts include daytime and night-time, at home and in the community, with 1:1 in the home and 2:1 during outings.

You will perform personal care, meal prep, feeding assistance, and medication administration, while promoting daily living skills and safety throughout daily activities and outings.

Qualifications

• Provide support with personal care, meal preparation and feeding assistance.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor safety during daily tasks.
• Engage the client in activities to support development and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all personal care and daily living tasks, ensuring safety at all times.
• Support him during community activities (walks, bowling, museum visits, shopping, swimming, dining out).
• Drive the client to activities in his own car; a full clean driving licence is essential.
