Job summary

Disability North is seeking Care Assistants to provide 24-hour support for an adult male with a brain injury in his own home. The role involves long day shifts and sleepovers on a rota, with full training provided and DBS check required before employment.

We value patient, compassionate and reliable team members who can work independently or in a small team, ensuring privacy and dignity at all times. This is a full-time position in the NE40 area.

Qualifications

• Care-related abilities and compassionate disposition are essential.
• Full training will be provided for care duties.
• DBS check required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Personal care and support with daily living.
• Washing, dressing and meal preparation.
• Cleaning and laundry.
• Moving, handling, transferring and positioning.
• Supporting with bed and wheelchair transfers.
• Accompanying the client to appointments and outings.
• Providing companionship and day-to-day support.
