Job summary

Disability North is seeking a dedicated personal assistant to help John access the community and enjoy activities safely. You must be physically fit, experienced with neurodiverse adults, and able to reinforce boundaries and routines. The role covers personal care, daily living tasks, and support with cooking and social activities.

Hours are 32 per week, including weekends, at £15.00 per hour. A full UK driving license is essential if you drive, and flexibility with transportation may be

Qualifications

• Physically fit to safely support movement and de-escalation.
• Experience with neurodiverse adults; ability to handle challenging behaviours.
• Ability to follow instructions, respect boundaries and maintain safety.

Responsibilities

• Personal care: prompting shower, oral hygiene, and dietary support.
• Daily living: assist with activities and home-based meals, board games if staying home.
• Mobility & transport: accompany to use public transport and safe travel; driving if licensed.
