Job summary

The Co-operative Bank is seeking a customer-focused individual for our Romford branch. You will be the first point of contact for personal and business banking customers, guiding them through our digital channels and updating customer records across multiple internal systems.

You will work Monday to Friday 8:30–16:00, with occasional travel to Southend. This fixed-term role lasts 12 months and includes benefits and a focus on service excellence and compliance.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in customer service and a positive, resilient approach.
• Experience interacting directly with customers and delivering excellent service daily.
• Good attention to detail when processing customer data.
• Ability to work with diverse customers, including vulnerable individuals.
• Capable of navigating multiple internal systems quickly and confidently.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for personal and business banking customers at Romford branch.
• Support customers through our digital transformation across channels including in person, phone and secure messages.
• Address customer needs, manage cash handling, and update records in internal systems.
• Encourage appointments with the Personal Banking Team for additional products and services.
• Contribute to meeting personal and team targets while maintaining regulatory compliance.
