Job summary

Hatched Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced PA to the Executive Team for a local authority in the United Kingdom. You will provide confidential executive support to the Chief Executive and Strategic Directors, managing diaries, emails, documents and travel arrangements.

Responsibilities include drafting letters and reports, organising meetings, producing minutes, and supporting cabinet reports. Strong communication, organisation and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a senior administrative, PA or executive support role.
  • Experience managing diaries, correspondence and confidential information.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Experience producing documents, reports and meeting minutes.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.
  • Professional communication with senior leaders and stakeholders.

  • Acting as a key point of contact for Elected Members, MPs, employees, members of the public and external organisations.
  • Supporting the preparation of Cabinet and Council reports.
  • Assisting with Freedom of Information requests and complaints.
  • Maintaining electronic filing systems and handling confidential information.
  • Raising purchase orders and processing/approving payments where required.
  • Providing administrative support to the Leader and Cabinet Members when required.

Job description

The Role

You will provide a professional and confidential support service, including:



  • Managing diaries and appointments for the Chief Executive and Strategic Directors

  • Monitoring and managing emails and correspondence

  • Drafting letters, correspondence, reports and other documents

  • Organising meetings, events, visits and travel arrangements

  • Preparing presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint

About You

You will need:

  • Experience producing documents, reports and meeting minutes

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams

  • The ability to communicate professionally with senior leaders and a wide range of internal and external stakeholders

  • Excellent attention to detail, including proofreading and correcting documents

  • A professional, confident and highly organised approach

  • Knowledge or understanding of Local Government would be advantageous
