Mitie is seeking a safety-focused Person Organising Work (POW) to coordinate planning and safe delivery of works at Sellafield. The role runs full-time, 40 hours per week (7am-4pm) with every Friday fortnight off, and requires strong organisation, health and safety knowledge, and the ability to supervise subcontractors and teams.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing or reviewing risk assessments and method statements.
• Strong planning, organisational, IT and stakeholder management skills.
• IOSH Managing Safely or higher health and safety qualification desirable (training can be provided).
• Full, clean UK driving licence.

Responsabilités

• Scope and plan works, defining task requirements, delivery methods, competency needs and Safe Systems of Work.
• Compile compliant work packs, including risk assessments, method statements, permits, isolations, drawings and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate enabling services and specialist support, including scaffolding, health physics monitoring, asbestos surveys and subcontractors.
• Provide and coordinate effective task supervision, ensuring works are delivered safely and in accordance with approved procedures.
• Liaise with clients, operational teams and subcontractors to monitor progress, resolve issues and maintain accurate records.

We're looking for an organised and safety-focused Person Organising Work (POW) to support our Hard Services, projects and subcontractor teams at Sellafield. You will coordinate the planning and safe delivery of works, ensuring tasks are properly scoped, effectively supervised and completed in line with site procedures.

Role Responsibilities

• -Scope and plan works, defining task requirements, delivery methods, competency needs and appropriate Safe Systems of Work.
• -Compile compliant work packs, including risk assessments, method statements, permits, isolations, drawings and supporting documentation.
• -Coordinate enabling services and specialist support, including scaffolding, health physics monitoring, asbestos surveys and subcontractors.
• -Provide and coordinate effective task supervision, ensuring works are delivered safely and in accordance with approved procedures.
• -Liaise with clients, operational teams and subcontractors to monitor progress, resolve issues and maintain accurate records.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role:

• -Experience of preparing or reviewing risk assessments and method statements, with a good understanding of health and safety requirements.
• -Strong planning, organisational, IT and stakeholder management skills.
• -IOSH or NEBOSH certifications due to the Health and Safety knowledge required.
• -Full, clean UK driving licence.

• -Experience within an electrical, mechanical, civil engineering or facilities management environment.
• -Knowledge of Permit-to-Work systems and Safe Systems of Work.
• -IOSH Managing Safely or a higher-level health and safety qualification is desirable, although training can be provided.
