Job summary

Mitie is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team at the Sellafield site, delivering hard services maintenance. You will maintain critical electrical systems within one of the UK's most highly regulated environments, ensuring safety, compliance and operational reliability.

The role offers a 9-day fortnight, with bonus payments and travel allowance in line with NAECI, and opportunities for professional development on a prestigious site.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation is required.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations are required.
• Full UK Driving Licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across building services systems.
• Complete inspections, testing and certification (EICRs) in line with BS 7671 and site requirements.
• Support electrical projects and system upgrades with technical expertise and safe implementation.
• Review risk assessments, method statements and permit-to-work documents for safety compliance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality and asset performance.

Job description

Location: Sellafield, SeascaleHours: 38 hours per weekShift Pattern: 9-Day Fortnight

-Week 1: Monday to Friday, 7:15am to 4:15pm (3:15pm finish on Friday)

-Week 2: Monday to Thursday, 7:15am to 4:15pm

Salary: £46,337.20 + bonus + travel allowance (in line with the NAECI Agreement)

Role Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across a range of building services systems.
• Complete inspections, testing and certification, including EICRs, in line with BS 7671 and site compliance requirements.
• Support electrical projects and system upgrades, providing technical expertise and assisting with safe implementation.
• Review risk assessments, method statements and permit-to-work documentation to ensure work is completed safely.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality and asset performance.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role:

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation, Electrical Maintenance or equivalent qualification.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

• City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing qualification would be advantageous.
