Pioneer Selection Ltd in Nottingham is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a permanent night shift at a fast-paced FMCG site. You will perform reactive maintenance, fault finding, and planned maintenance across a range of packaging and processing equipment.

We welcome candidates with a Level 3 Engineering qualification and an electrical or mechanical bias, capable of working independently on high-speed machinery while driving continuous improvement and reliability improvements.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Engineering qualification or equivalent.
• Electrical OR mechanical bias considered.
• Previous maintenance experience within manufacturing, FMCG, food, packaging or similar environment.
• Strong breakdown and fault-finding ability.
• Experience carrying out planned preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Reactive maintenance and breakdown response.
• Electrical and mechanical fault finding and repairs.
• Completing PPMs and planned maintenance.
• Minimising production downtime.
• Identifying recurring faults and improving equipment reliability.
• Supporting continuous improvement and engineering projects.
• Working closely with production and wider engineering team.

Job Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Location: Nottingham

Salary: £59,000 + Excellent Benefits

Shift: Permanent Nights – 12-Hour Panama Shift (2/3, 4/5 Pattern)

A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a successful, well-established FMCG manufacturer in Nottingham.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking for a high-paying permanent night shift, offering the stability of no rotating between days and nights alongside an attractive Panama shift pattern.

You will join a skilled engineering team responsible for maintaining a fast-paced, high-speed manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on position involving reactive maintenance, PPMs, fault finding and continuous improvement across a wide variety of production and packaging equipment.

The company will consider engineers with either a mechanical or electrical bias, providing you have strong maintenance and fault-finding experience within a manufacturing environment.

Requirements for the Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer

• Ex-Forces Engineers with suitable transferable engineering experience will also be considered
