Job summary

Synergi Recruitment is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a busy Nottingham manufacturing site. You will maintain and improve production equipment, respond to breakdowns, and carry out preventative maintenance to maximise plant reliability.

The role requires NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with PLC fault-finding experience preferred. 4 on 4 off days and nights shift; strong progression opportunities and a modern automated environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Completed engineering apprenticeship preferred.
• Previous experience in manufacturing, FMCG, production or automated environments.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Basic PLC fault-finding experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Proactive maintenance and continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Respond to electrical and mechanical breakdowns across the site.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Fault find on electrical systems including motors, drives, control panels and PLC equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults on production machinery.
• Work on conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Support continuous improvement and reliability projects.
• Complete maintenance records using CMMS.
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with site procedures.

Are you a skilled Maintenance Engineer looking for your next challenge within a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We are recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established production facility in Nottingham.

Working as part of the engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving production equipment, responding to breakdowns, and carrying out planned preventative maintenance to ensure maximum plant reliability and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to electrical and mechanical breakdowns across the site
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
