Pioneer Selection Ltd. is recruiting for a Nights Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer in Leighton Buzzard to join a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

The role focuses on electrical and mechanical maintenance across production machinery with a strong emphasis on breakdown response and uptime. You will carry out PPM, fault-finding, and continuous improvement initiatives to boost equipment reliability and minimise downtime while adhering to food safety standards and site hygiene

Qualifikationen

• Electrical fault-finding and mechanical fitting experience.
• Experience working with industrial machinery or production equipment.
• Relevant engineering qualification, such as a BTEC or NVQ Level 3 Apprenticeship, or equivalent.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

• Electrical fault-finding and mechanical fitting experience.
• Experience working with industrial machinery or production equipment.

• Understanding of health and safety procedures within an engineering environment.

Requirements for the Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

• Experience carrying out planned preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance and breakdown repairs.
• Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to identify faults, establish root causes and implement effective corrective actions.
• Ability to work effectively within a busy production environment, minimising downtime and disruption.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with engineering and operations teams.
• Strong attention to detail, a proactive approach and a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Ability to maintain accurate maintenance records and follow site hygiene and food safety standards.

Desirable Requirements for the Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

• Previous experience within the food manufacturing or FMCG sector.
• Experience using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• 18th Edition electrical qualification.
• Experience with automation and controls.
• Higher-level engineering apprenticeship or additional technical qualifications.
• Experience mentoring apprentices or supporting the development of other engineers.
