Job summary

Dormanstown Primary Academy is seeking a proactive, enthusiastic Level 3 SEND Teaching Assistant to join the team and support pupils from Reception to Year 6. You will work with the class teacher to help individuals or groups get the most out of their learning.

Experience or a genuine interest in supporting children with complex SEND is important, as are qualifications in English and Maths at GCSE grade C or equivalent; TA qualification is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience or genuine interest in working with children with complex SEND.
• Qualifications in English and mathematics at least GCSE grade C.
• Qualification as a teaching assistant (or equivalent) is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils from Reception to Year 6 under the guidance of the class teacher.
• Help individuals or groups to get the most out of their learning.
• Assist with planning and delivering targeted support for pupils with SEND.
• Support safeguarding and inclusive practices in line with DBS checks.
