Job summary

Elms Bank School is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant Level 3 to support children and young people with SEND, delivering targeted activities and aiding teachers across the curriculum.

You will collaborate with the team to implement therapy and behaviour support plans, contribute to lesson planning and assessment, and occasionally supervise classes during short-term absences. A Level 3 qualification and SEND experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Has Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND and complex learning needs.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
• Strong literacy, numeracy and ICT skills.
• Committed to inclusion, safeguarding and raising achievement for every pupil.

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted learning activities and support plans for learners with diverse needs.
• Implement therapy and behaviour support programmes in collaboration with the teaching team.
• Support teachers and other professionals to promote positive outcomes for all learners.
• Contribute to lesson planning, assessment, and pupil progress reviews.
• Occasionally supervise whole classes during short-term teacher absence.
